Carhartt Men’s CMW6220 6 Steel Toe Work Boot in Bison Brown
These Carhartt Men’s Work Boots are known for their durability and robustness. Qualities that are much needed when working in construction and other harsh working environments. The CMW6220 model is a waterproof boot that is not only lightweight, making it perfect for summer wear, but also has a safety toe cap that gives you that added extra comfort knowing that your money makers ( feet ) are well protected.
They come in low 6 inch boots which give you the mobility and flexibility needed for working on a building site, and are much cooler than taller boots.
Other key features are:
– OrthoLite insoles: Giving you additional comfort and shock absorption which in turn reduces fatigue.
– Ortholite tongue: Additional comfort around the top of your foot and an extra layer of padding between the arches and ankles / boot laces.

Similar to the Bison work boot above, the Carhartt 6 inch NWP work boot is constructed to be able to handle tough and hazardous working environments. It does all this with the added benefit of providing you with the comfort you need to do the job properly as well as being slip resistant.
Like most Carhartt work boots, this model is oil tanned leather with fully breathable lining, a nicely padded collar and boot tongue and a steel toe cap.
The insoles are polyurethane in construction and provide exceptional comfort.
Other features worth mentioning are the rubber outsoles which have open edge mud release lugs and provides additional protection against electrical hazards. You’ll be safe up to 18,000 volts under dry conditions.
Carhartt Men’s 6″ CMW6297 Leather Waterproof Breathable Lug Bottom – Steel Toe Work Boot – Comes in Dark Bison Oil Tanned
Probably the most versatile boot from Carhartt. The CMW6297 Carhartt men’s 6 inch general toe wedge boot can be worn to work or to the bar at the weekend. It doesn’t look out of place in either environment, which makes it an awesome work boot. Fashion certainly crosses over into the work wear arena with this boot. My Grandad would call these “Drinking Boots” as they are weighty enough to keep you standing after a few too many drinks lol!
In all seriousness, this boot is the real deal. It comes with all the safety features you’d expect from a Carhartt work boot, giving the wearer great everyday protection as well as providing great comfort during your working day. The boot is made form brown oil tanned leather along with Goodyear welt to the rubber outsole.
Carhartt Men’s 11″ Wellington Pull-on Square Safety Toe Leather Work Boot
These tall Carhartt Pull-on wellington work boots are 11 inchs in height and come with all the safety measures that you’d require from a work boot. They are extremely comfortable, slip resistant and are made from a mix of oil tanned leather and abrasion-resistant Cordura nylon.
With some wellington boots, you do get sweaty feet the longer you wear them. I’ve found that these ones keep the feet very dry, mainly because of the waterproof membrane inside the boot.
My only gripe with these work wellington boots is that they are quite heavy. If you’re in them for 12 hours a day, then you’ll probably feel you’ve done 16 hours instead!

A great lightweight work boot that’s comfortable, sturdy, durable, waterproof and has a composite safety toe. The sole is rubber and has a hefty grip to help keep you nice and steady and prevents you from slipping.
The upper part of the boot is full leather with super strong stitching. Ideal work boot or hiker boot. Great if you work around water or snow. Keeps your feet warm and dry.

The Carhartt 6″ Rugged Flex Composite Toe Work Boot is a beast amongst work boots. It’s a comfortable everyday work boot that prides itself on being flexible, lightweight and most importantly, keeping your feet safe from harm.
Features of the Rugged Flex
There are multiple polyurethane layers that are situated just under the insole, which maximize the cushion that your feet need when undertaking a hard day’s work.
It helps reduce overall fatigue, which in turn improves safety at work.
The Rugged Flex as a Composite safety toe cap that comes extra wide to give you plenty of room for your toes to move around. Some people prefer steel toe over composite, but if you’re doing long long days, then the composite boot will be a lot lighter and more comfortable to wear.
Note that these boots can take a while to break in, but don’t let this put you off this awesome work boot.

Practically the same boot as the above CMF6366, but with the added rubber over the front of the boot.
Again, this boot comes with the Rugged Flex technology. This basically allows the boot to moves and stretch with your movements throughout the day.
This is a great lightweight work boot with enhanced safety elements such as the composite toe and synthetic sole with impressive grip.
Carhartt Men’s CMX4013 4″ LTWT PT Caswedge Work Boot, Dark Bison, 10 M US
If you’re a tradesmen such as a painter, carpenter or residential electrician and you don’t want big heavy work boots on your feet all day, then consider these lightweight work shoes from Carhartt. They don’t have any steel or composite toe cap, but still provides you with protection and comfort.
The attraction with these work shoes is the fact that it doesn’t look like a work shoe. You can wear them out at the weekend, as well as turning up at a job on a monday morning. They are super lightweight and ideal for workmen and women to wear in the summer months.
Note that they do size a little on the large side, so if you are a size 10 normally, maybe try a half size down at 9.5.
Highly recommended work shoe and great alternative to the traditional work boot.

Another versatile boot from Carhartt. This boot is the soft toe version of the CMW6297 Carhartt men’s 6 inch boot, which is featured earlier in this post. Again, this boot can be worn to work or to the bar at the weekend.
It comes with all the safety features of the CMW6297 but without the steel toe cap. The boot is made form brown oil tanned leather along with Goodyear welt to the rubber outsole.
Carhartt Men’s 6″ Rugged Flex Waterproof Breathable Composite Toe Leather Work Boot CMF6356, Wheat, 12 M US
Probably my favourite work boot in the Carhartt range. This boot is in the Rugged Flex range and is a proper work boot on all levels. Its waterproof, robust, strong, has a composite toe and comes in an awesome light tan / wheat color.
They are very very comfortable and doesn’t take much work to break them in. I’ve heard people say that they are much better than the Timberland WP 6″ bootswhich are pretty much the standard boots for most workers.
Other Pros
They are also a versatile boot that can be worn anywhere. They are constructed very well and will last you years.
They keep your feet warm and dry in the winter, with great support around the ankles and a secure sole to help prevent you from slipping on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Carhartt Men’s 8″ Rugged Flex Insulated Waterproof Breathable Safety Toe Work Boot CMF8389, Brown, 11 W US
This is the 8 inch safety toe work boot version in the Rugged Flex range. Again, a very impressive work boot with rugged durability and robust materials makes this boot as hard working as the wearer.
The 8 inch height gives you even more support around the ankles and also helps to keep you nice and dry in wet weather conditions. It has a Storm Defender waterproof membrane, along with a 400g 3M Thinsulate insulation which not only keeps you warm and dry in the winter, but also cool in the summer.
Very comfortable boot and long lasting. Don’t expect to buy a new pair for a very long time.
Carhartt Men’s CMX 4023 4″ Ltwt PT Moctoe Caswedge Work Boot, Brown, 13 M US
Another cool and casual work shoe that is lightweight, good looking and safe footwear for work. They call this a moctoe as it does look like it have a safety toe.
Comfort wise, its good not great. I know people do tend to use a Timberland insole over the one that comes with this boot. But once you do get the right insole, these boots are very hard to beat in the comfort steaks. These boots look great, feel great and are very inexpensive.

A very good 8 inch work boot from Carhartt. Fully waterproof work boots that are born to the rigours of a full on day of work. They are made from high quality oil-tanned leather, and are 100% waterproof. They are also a very good boot to wear in all weathers due to the breathable membrane that keeps the wet out, no-sweat.
Highly durable oil-tanned leather uppers, with an awesome Polyurethane strobel pad cushioned insole which absorbs shock that would normally make you tired a lot quicker.

A lightweight and waterproof work boot that looks quite fashionable. It could actually pass as a running shoe. I can see this boot being worn away from work as well. Its super comfortable due to the multi layer insole and highly cushioned ankle and tongue. It uses a Ortholite insoles which helps to fight fatigue and odours.
The sole is super flexible which is great for people who are on the move quite a lot. It’ll respond nicely to your sudden movements and provide you with the right amount of support.

Very comfortable boot from Carhartt that’s made from brown leather and 3D Ariaprene™
A strong cement construction with Carhartt rubber outsole. With this boot they use what they call FastDry® lining, which takes away sweat from the inside of the boot. The Ortholite™ cushion insole helps to combat nasty odours that can occur when wearing work boots.
The boot is pipeline worthy waterproof. They will keep your feet dry, even in the wettest of conditions. They look pretty bad ass as well.
